Cold, Scratched eye, turned in eyelash, dirt being naturally washed from the eye. Chances are it's nothing too serious. I'd give it a few days and if by monday it's not any better take it to the vet. If your eye had been injured in a fight with a sibling and had been discharging blood "forever," wouldn't you have been to a doctor? Come on, do the right thing.
